Candidates forum–79th Assembly district–Blake–Munguia–Parmely–Weber–Wednesday, March 3

The weather is warm and we’ve got a hot meeting lined up for Wednesday, March 3 at 7 pm on Zoom: A forum for Democratic candidates for the 79th Assembly District seat recently vacated by Shirley Weber. Candidates speaking at our public, general meeting are:

  • Aeiramique Glass Blake, an advocate for racial justice, equity, and reimagined public safety, founder and director of Generation Justice, youth and student activists organizing for change in San Diego.
  • Labor organizer Leticia Munguia.
  • Shane Parmely, a classroom teacher and advocate for students, their families, and our communities.
  • Akilah Weber—wife, mother, physician, and La Mesa City Councilmember.

The meeting is Wednesday, March 3, 7 pm. Join us early for unstructured conversation, starting at 6:30 pm. Here’s the Zoom link.

The primary is April 6, and general election is June 8.
