We are connected

With more than 300 members, the La Mesa-Foothills Democratic Club is the second largest club in San Diego County. The club was awarded 2008 Club of the Year by the San Diego County Democratic Party’s Council of Clubs. Our meeting attendance averages 100 people. Join in the fun with like-minded people!

We are involved

In 2004, the San Diego County Democratic Party initiated a Neighbor-to-Neighbor program, known as the Grassroots Organizing Team (GO-Team). GO-Team volunteers receive specialized training to become Precinct Leaders in their own neighborhoods. During the 2006 and 2008 elections, precincts with an active GO-Team member increased Democratic turnout by seven percent!

The GO-Team’s goals are: to increase Democratic registration, increase the number of Permanent Mail Voters, increase voter turnout, and to ELECT DEMOCRATS. During the 2008 election, GO-Team members in the east area contacted voters in more than 2,000 precincts and distributed voter information to nearly 20,000 voters. For more information, go to the Volunteer Corner.
